Review: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Fluttershy

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is an animated series, which is currently airing on The Hub effective October 10, 2010. This incarnation of the popular Hasbro toy was developed for television by Lauren Faust who is famed for her work on two of Cartoon Network's noted franchises The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends on all of which she worked with their creator and her husband Craig McCracken.

Yesterday I bought My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Fluttershy.  I didn’t buy her at first since I haven’t seen the show. So I check out the show thinking it would bomb but surprisingly…it was good! Fluttershy became my fav pony because she reminds me of me. ^_^  Anyway  I got her from Wal-Mart for $5.00 plus tax which comes out to $5.30. To my surprise she was the last Fluttershy left along with two Pinkie Pies. The last time I was there was a lot of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic ponies and all six were there and when I got back…. poof! Most of them all gone! I got lucky that Fluttershy was still there.

Fluttershy came with an animal friend who I assume is her animal friend Angel and a wagon so that Fluttershy can pull the bunny along. There was no twist ties, but a little hard to get out since they were wedge in there.  After I took Fluttershy’s rubber band that was on her bangs her hair was awful. >_<  It didn’t look much like due to her bangs being wave and a mess. So I carefully fixed her bangs with my flatiron. I was nervous while doing hoping I don’t burn her hair since it was my first time doing something like this.  To my surprise it came out perfect and looking more like the character. She has no point in articulation and the wagon doesn’t attach well to her leg.  Also the wheels on the wagon do not rotate. So how are you supposed to pull the bunny in the wagon? Either way I still love my Fluttershy figure and she just look so cute on my shelve with my other collectable toys (that I will post pics soon as I can).

Marvel Anime: Iron Man Plot

Tony Stark goes to Japan to produce a new arc station and showcase the Iron Man Dio, a new prototype armor, which will replace him when he retires. However, the Dio goes out of control and it is up to Tony as Iron Man to stop it along with an organization called the Zodiac.

Marvel Anime: Iron Man Seiyu (Japanese Voice Actors)

Marvel Anime

Marvel Anime is a four-part project with collaborations from both Marvel Animation and Madhouse. The project will take famous Marvel characters and reintroduce them for a Japanese audience in a 12-part series. The announcement was confirmed at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con. According to former Madhouse President and CEO Jungo Maruta, Marvel is giving the anime studio "free reign" re-imagine the Marvel superheroes for Japanese audiences. It is unclear how different from the original source material this version will be. The series will be released in Japan in October 2010 and throughout the world in 2011. It will air in Japan on Animax and in the United States on G4. The series will be guided by Warren Ellis. Trailers have been released for both Marvel Anime: Iron Man, and Marvel Anime: Wolverine. X-Men and Blade are also confirmed to be part of the line-up.

Glyos

Glyos (sometimes mistakenly written as "Gylos") are a small toyline of modular, customizable figures sold by a company called O'Nell Design, designed by Matt Doughty. They became very popular on /toy/ early in the summer of 2009, so popular in fact that some people accused fans of the toy line of essentially trying to market the toys there.

Glyos are between 2" and 3" tall, depending on the body type. There are several body types available in a very wide variety of colors, which helps to disguise the fact that there are actually only a few different molds. Glyos are also available sold in sets of random pieces.
The pieces are all customizable and can be attached in a variety of creative ways, making them excellent sources of customization. Some people buy the figures with the express purpose of customizing them.

Some of the basic body and head types are:
  • Pheyden
  • Exellis
  • Buildman
  • Sarvos
  • Phanost
  • Crayboth
If you want to check the Glyos figures out and or buy them go to http://www.onelldesign.com/store/ . Also check out their sister site http://callgrim.com/shop/ for different Glyos characters and designs.
